Job description
To support the Marketing & Communciations Division in executing marketing, branding, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. Responsibilities include content creation, social media management, event coordination, market research, and administrative support to enhance FP&M SETA’s brand and communication efforts.
Key Performance Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Assist in developing content for various communication channels, including social media, newsletters, and press releases.
- Social Media Management: Manage and update social media platforms, create engaging posts, and monitor analytics.
- Event Support: Assist in planning and coordinating events, including expos and stakeholder engagements.
- Market Research: Conduct market research and analysis to support marketing strategies.
- Administrative Support: Maintain marketing documents, information, correspondence, and files in physical or electronic filing systems for constant audit readiness.
- Video Production: Assist in the production of corporate videos, including filming, editing, and creating short versions for social media platforms.
- Social Media Brand Management: Handle the social media brand, ensuring consistent and engaging content across all platforms.
- Market Understanding: Attend expos to gain an understanding of market and provide insights to improve our strategies.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as and when required.
- Assist with reception duties
- Any other reasonable task as may be requested by Management
Minimum requirements
- National Senior Certificate
- National Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a related field.
- TVET College learners with N4, N5 & N6 in Marketing or related fields are also eligible
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.
- Basic graphic design, video editing, or photography skills (advantageous).
- Be computer literate with MS packages.
- Ability to conduct market research and analyze trends.
- Not have previously completed an internship
- Be prepared to enter into a learning agreement for period not exceeding 12 months commencing as soon as possible
- Please note permanent employment after completion of the programme is not guaranteed.
